Support Nonprofits Working On The Frontline
The Alaska COVID-19 Response Fund at The Alaska Community Foundation will support nonprofits that provide critical services to communities and individuals throughout the state whose lives have been devastatingly impacted by recent events and those nonprofits that are essential for quality of life in Alaskan communities.
I cannot tell you how much receiving that grant meant to us as an organization and to me as an individual. The funding has allowed me to build a team of Military Spouses who have lost their jobs due to Covid-19. Between your grant and our contract with the Alaska National Guard, we were able to pay our Spouses who were making masks and donating them to other Active Duty Military, high health risk families and other high risk individuals (and agencies that work with those individuals!). Watching our little group come together and work tirelessly in support of our community and our state has been one of the most uplifting moments of my life.
